Maastricht University is the youngest University in the Netherlands, founded in 1975. She is unique for her Problem Based Learning, where students start from the beginning of their studies with learning and working in groups. This way, social and academic qualities are developed optimally. Next to that, Maastricht University distinguishes herself via her elevated scientific research en the large amount of international students.
The School of Business and Economics is a faculty of Maastricht University, as well honoured internationally for her research and teaching methods. In the recent past this is expressed by the Triple Crown accreditation, consisting of the AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditations. The SBE is an international School, with more than 500 exchange students being welcomed every year, and of the 4200 students presently enrolled, more than 60% come from abroad, representing more than 60 different nationalities.
